Bored Panda got in touch with Michelle Wood, the Head of Operations at the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, and she was kind enough to answer a few of our questions.
We were curious as to how different the impact of the photos is when looking at them in physical form. After all, most of us look at photos digitally in this day and age.
“Obviously, viewing images on the screen is the easiest way to access imagery, especially if you are not in the local to the exhibition,” Wood told Bored Panda via email.
“But it does make a real difference being able to see the winning photos in person and in scale, and also side by side in the gallery, as a collection they are really impactful and the quality of the images shines through,” she said.
“Additionally we have noticed in the gallery only this morning that you can enjoy the experience with friends and family and the laughter bubbling around the room is magic. It’s very hard to do that via a screen.”
